About Us

Galloway Photography is work of Dave Currie, who is based in Glentrool Village in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. The photography is probably best described as “inspired by nature”. This is a broad remit which encompasses capturing the awesome natural beauty of this area. This could be literally, as a landscape shot of a stunning mountain vista or a wildlife photo of a red squirrel or roaring stag, or figuratively, through the use of close-up or long exposure photography.

Living in the only village within Galloway Forest Dark Skies Park, is prime position for night photography
as evidenced by some stunning starscapes.

Dave became interested in photography when he purchased his first 35mm SLR film camera back in 1985. As a chemistry student back then he enjoyed many hours in the dark room working with his own self-prepared film-developing chemicals, but it was the emergence of digital camera technology, and the immediacy of that medium, that allowed Dave to really develop his photographic talents and eye for texture and light.

Other Information

Ordering a Galloway Photography print online is easy and you can pay using a Paypal account or just using your credit card with our secure Paypal shopping cart. Having said that, if you don't like ordering online you can always just phone us up and speak to a real person, probably Dave, and arrange a purchase that way. If you do buy a print you can rest assured that it will be stoutly packaged before being despatched to you. We are currently only supplying to UK addresses via the online ordering system. If you are outside the UK and would like to place an order, please get in touch with us directly to discuss how we can achieve that.

Most items are held in stock and delivery times are likely to be of the order of a week. It may even be quicker than that at times and I'd love to be able to promise faster, stricter delivery times, but we are a small outfit. Suffice to say that we will endeavour to get a print to you as fast as we possibly can, and if there is any reason why we think that there might be a prolonged delay to your delivery we will get in touch straight away to let you know and consider your options, including obviously a full refund.

If you do not receive your items within 14 days of postage confirmation, please contact me and I will arrange a replacement or refund. If you are unhappy with your item for any reason please get in touch immediately, the last thing we want is unhappy customers and we will work very hard to resolve any issues.

I respect my customers’ privacy and will not share your information with any other parties.
